. ಕೃಷ್ಣನ ಚತುರತೆಯ ವರ್ಣನೆಯನ್ನ ಕನಕದಾಸರು ಸೊಗಸಾಗಿ ಹಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

I welcome you all to the second part of my harikatha on Dashavatara.
We were looking through Dashavatara of Mahavishnu, as narrated by Saint Annamacharya in one of his ever green kritis.
Start from....(with tala and action in the other hand)
itanikantimari..................and sing all pallavi lines with action.

Chedaraka kondala guhala vedakite srinarasimhudu unnadu
Telisi bhuna bhontharamuna vedakina trivikramakruti nilichinadi (sing throughout with tala and action in the other hand).
Annamacharya says, after searching through caves of valleys, I searched in the NABHOMANDALA, the vast sky (hand action in the form of gradual stretching of hands and looking up) and I again found Lord Venkateswara in the form of the gigantic Trivikrama! (hand action, waving both hands from top to bottom, and looking from top to bottom). When the most popular and generous King Maha Bali (hand action with right fist up) became all powerful, Lord Vishnu had to incarnate as VAMANA (one hand action, showing small sign). Little Vamana grew in size to the size of gigantic Trivikrama to contain King Maha Bali, and grant him immortality, by trampling him down to Patala.(show action of trampling down using your right hand).

Annamacharya then says that he searched among all great warriors. Again there, he found Lord Venkateswara in the form of greatest warrior Parashurama (show the action of axe placed on your right shoulder. eyes should indicate the warrior look), who transferred all his powers to Lord Rama. (show hand action of transferring).

What I can say about Ramayana? (hand action)........which is the greatest epic on this earth. Ramayana was originally written in sanskrit by Saint Valmiki and subsequently thousands of poets (hand action) have written Ramayana in almost all languages of the world. Kannada poet Lakshminarayana K, who is my grandfather (show action by touching your heart), describes Lord Rama.
ವಾಲ್ಮೀಕಿ ರಾಮಾಯಣದ ಹರಿಕಾರನಾದ
ಕಬೀರರ ಕಾವ್ಯಾಮೃತಕೆ ತಾ ಧಾರೆಯಾದ
ತ್ಯಾಗರಾಜರಿಗೆ ಜಗದಾನಂದ ಕಾರಕನಾದ
ರಾಮಾಯಣ ದರ್ಶನದಿ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಕಂಪಾದ
ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾವೈಕ್ಯತೆಯ ಗುಪ್ತಗಾಮಿನಿ ಅವನು

Thus Lord Rama is the spirit which binds "we Indians" (hand action touching the heart with both hands) together with the spirit of 'Unity in diversity'. (unity - show by hand action. Right first up). (you can recite the with hand actions like I have done in the video sent. You need not byheart this. You can read from book, like I have read. Just copy me it is enough.)
And Lord Rama was a great warrior, Maha veera! (show hand action) He was not only capable of fighting for himself, but could lead a mighty army. (hand action all through). Vedanta deshikar, the Tamil scholar describes the varlor of lord Rama in his Raghuveeragadhyam!

Thus Lord Rama (folded hands) is our role model and we respect him as MARYADAPURUSHOTHAMA, the ultimate gentleman.
Ramayan is also remembered for another great God HANUMAAN (your right hand will go near your right arm, as if you are holding a mace (GADE). glowing eyes and hanuman type of mouth). Even Lord Rama could not have conquered Ravana, but for the heroic acts of Hanumaan.
We children are carried away by heroic acts of batsman, iron man, spiderman, superman and so on (action for each .......man). But our real superman is our HANUMAAN (folded hands)! Let's pray Hanuman to bless us with strength and wisdom.

Annamacharya (Chitike action) now takes us towards Mahavishnu's 8th avatara, the Krishnavatara (flute action). If scholars have described Lord Rama as Maryadapurushothama (folded hands action), I would like to describe Lord Krishna, as CHATURA PURUSHOTHAMA (pointed right hand finger touching your head). I only pray to Lord Kirshna to come again today (show hands as if Krishna comes from heaven), to set right our country and its numerous problems (open your hands with action).
How can we visualise (touch your both eyes and open up arms) Lord Krishna? A God-child? A prankster?, Navaneeta Chora (show holding butter in left hand, and show eating in the right hand)?, a model lover, a divine hero or the universal supreme being (show your eye and hand action as if you have seen his vishwaroopa)!
Oothukaadu Venkata Subba Iyer, a great devotee of Lord Krishna welcomes Him this way.

Krishna was not only the loving child of Yashoda (look at your lap, as if child krishna is resting on your lap, hold the child's head and tap (ತಟ್ಟುವುದು) him with the right hand), but he was the loving child of all mothers of nanda gokula. He was not only the lover who charmed Radha (show flute holding action), but he was the lover for 16,000 gopikas.

Lord Krishna also saved the world by killing (hand action) demons like Kamsa. He also helped pandavas to defeat the wicked Duryodhana and establish the rule of 'dharma.' (thumbs up action).
When confused Arjuna, declined to fight, Lord Krishna preached him the BHAGAVADGEETHA and showed him his vishwaroopa (hand to go up and eye action looking up).
